In early May, I attended a conference in Phoenix on prosecution of domestic violence in Indian Country. In my spare time, I took some photos. Arizona has such a varied topography, from desert to pine forests and red rock country, it provides plenty of eye candy.
In the middle of Phoenix is a huge preserve, South Mountain Park, which encompasses 16,500 acres and is eleven miles wide. A winding road takes you to Dobbins Lookout where you have a splendid view of downtown Phoenix.

This was actually taken a few miles north of Phoenix

Looking north across the city

This was taken about an hour north of Phoenix, heading toward Payson, Arizona.

Cacti are plentiful and here reminded me of whiskers on the west side of the hill.
