The clan gathered at our place for Thanksgiving this year, sans Reed who was on some kind of detail that required him to be within two hours of post at all times. We made up for it by eating his portion of the turkey.

The following day, Firemann [who celebrated Thanksgiving with son Brad and family] came over to work with Meredith to make some of that wholesome Norwegian delicacy, krumkakke.
The batter is made from a recipe the two have used before. The two have collaborated on krumkakke making for several years now.
Firemann carefully peels the still soft krumkakke from the iron.
Mere then raps it around one of the cone-shaped dowels where it cools. I can attest the final product tasted as good as it looked.
