Cabrillo Point
was spied by the first European in 1542 when Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo came ashore. The site is now a national monument and features a small museum and the Point Loma lighthouse.
Looking north from Cabrillo Point over the San Diego Bay.
When it got dark, the park ranger chased us out of the park. I drove downtown and walked around. Always looking for something we don't see back home, I stopped in a tattoo parlor.
I took a photo of these photos featuring some of the proprietor's
handiwork. A one-color tattoo, approximately 1" x 5" cost
$110. A patron told me the prices in this shop were the lowest in town.
Aside from sightseeing and photography, my stay in San Diego had a
purpose. I was teaching a three-day class entitled "Becoming a Better
Witness." Shown here with me are attendees Wyleena, Kate, Leon,
Ronnie, and Lorie. They were a great group and made the days fly by.
Our seminar concluded Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, I ventured south to Tijuana.
