The Beauty of Winter


cap1.jpg (127871 bytes)  It was a new year.  The kids had returned to Fort Bragg and Morris, respectively, leaving ye olde photographer with time on his hands.  Luckily, some moisture in the air and bright sunshine provided a good day for sightseeing on the state capitol grounds.  Note the yellow ribbons tied around the trees.

cap7.jpg (240515 bytes)  I read that only one of our United States Senators or Representatives has a son or daughter serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.

cap2.jpg (96265 bytes) North Dakota's pioneer family stands strong against the elements today as did their human counterparts 150 years ago.  It is hard to imagine living here without propane and electricity.
