The Beauty of Winter
It was a new year. The kids had returned to Fort Bragg and
Morris, respectively, leaving ye olde photographer with time on his hands.

sightseeing on the state capitol grounds. Note the yellow ribbons tied
around the trees.
Attached to the yellow ribbons are photographs of soldiers who have fought or
are currently serving our country.
I read that only one of our United States Senators or Representatives has a son
or daughter serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.
The Liberty Memorial Building houses the State Library and some other state
agencies.
This view appealed to me because of the frosty pines.
North Dakota's pioneer family stands strong against the elements today as did
their human counterparts 150 years ago. It is hard to imagine living here
without propane and electricity.
This bison sculpture is so life-like, it makes you nervous to get too close to
it.
