Piggin' out at Cross Ranch

It was Klines turn to host and they were good planners as they reserved a night at the Cross Ranch's Art Link Cabin many moons ago.  In early November, it's anyone's guess what the weather in North Dakota will bring.  We were exceedingly lucky--it was a gorgeous fall day with temperatures in high 60s.

Before the sun went down, we took a leisurely stroll along the Missouri riverbank.  As the spousal units approached the bridge, one of the husbands, who shall remain nameless, said, "If you want to get them riled up, just say something about the load limit on this bridge."  I wouldn't touch that one.

Darryl and Jack enjoy the view of the calm Missouri.  There wasn't even a breeze that afternoon.

On the left, the men engaged in sartorial chat and compared their footwear.  On the right, the table was ready for a splendid meal.

Jack barbequed the game hens--delicious.

A campfire kept us warm so we could enjoy the outdoors late into the night.

After an exhausting day, we treated ourselves to a death by chocolate fondue dessert.
