Big news!  You probably did not hear it here first but, nevertheless, I am happy to do my part to share it.  Reed left Bismarck in July, after a short visit at home, bound for Fort Knox, Kentucky.  He was not overjoyed at the prospect of being assigned to a "leg" post--one with no airborne unit--but his attitude changed the first day he was there.  When Reed reported to the clinic on post for a hearing test, he met Mollie Mullins, a pharmacy tech for the Army Reserves, who happened to be "on duty."  In Mollie's words, she was "in the wrong place at the right time."

Reed asked Mollie if she'd be willing to show him around, since he was new to the area.  The rest, as they say, is history.

Reed and Mollie in Reed's truck, I think.

A Kentucky native, Mollie works for a large health insurance company in Louisville.  Pam knew that once Reed was deployed, contact with Mollie would be a priority.  She's been a wonderful conduit of information, keeping us informed of Reed's activities.  We benefit from the opportunity to get to know her in the process.  She and Pam have exchanged recipes, compared books they've both read, and shared stories about Reed.  Though we have not met her in person, we appreciate her initiative and willingness to keep us in the loop.

Reed and Mollie plan to be married next July in Kentucky.  We look forward to holding a reception here in Bismarck when they return from their honeymoon.
