Some of you will remember that after Mary Lois passed away, local forester/gardener/friend Dan Cashman donated a tree and, with some help, planted a tree in her memory on the grounds of Shiloh Christian School. I remember it was a cold, blustery day when the tree was planted.  Last weekend, Dan reprised his donation by providing and planting a tree in Firemann's memory, also at Shiloh Christian School.

Brad shows Dan some photos taken when Mary Lois' tree was planted.

Dan left a little work for us to do, but not much.

The passing of the shovel.  I'm reminded of the old Wild Kingdom television series where Marlin Perkins would watch his sidekick, Jim, do all the dirty work while he stood away from danger and narrated.  He would have given a line like, "While Jim grabs the crocodile's jaw, I am planning our trip back home."  In real life, this Jim stood back and watched the workerbees.

The grandkids take over.  Although it was sunny, the weather was nearly identical to that when we planted Mary Lois' tree.

And even yours truly got into the action

J. Morgan, Sherry, Brad, and Janelle.
